This role will form part of the Trinergy Group Finance team which provides a shared resource for subsidiary and associated companies (SACs).   • Reporting to: Head of Finance

You will work closely with various departments to drive financial performance and contribute to the company’s success.

The jobholder should be a self-starter, who is capable of managing internal and external deadlines. The person in this role should be methodical, thorough, enjoy challenging situations and have the persistence to see a job through to conclusion. Getting things right, attention to detail, ensuring quality and standards are met and reducing error to a minimum are important factors in this position

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor performance, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for growth and optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the performance of existing products/services, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on data-driven analysis and market intelligence.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against business objectives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Retrieve and transform data from multiple sources so that it is useful, accurate and fit for use in scalable reporting solutions
  • Develop and maintain management reporting/BI analytics, promoting the use of automation and self-service solutions.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models for various projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess the financial performance of different business units, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIMA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, market research, or business intelligence, preferably in a commercial or strategic role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Query is a must. Experience with statistical software (e.g., power BI) and working with relational databases (e.g. SQL) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
