About the role:
Data Energy Management Services is a reputable organisation specialising in comprehensive energy solutions for Managing Agents, covering heat, gas, electricity, water, and renewables.
One of our main services involves metering and billing solutions; calculating and issuing energy (typically heat) bills to residents and providing customer support. We are currently seeking a Customer Service Adviser to join our team.

Role Overview and Responsibilities:
The Role:
- Job Location: Bishop Stortford
- Hours Per Week: 8.30 am – 5.00 pm
- Role Type: Permanent
- Reporting to: Customer Solutions Manager
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for all customer inquiries, both by phone and electronically.
- Respond promptly, professionally, and efficiently to all customer queries.
- Log and resolve customer complaints with care and attention.
- Gather and assess relevant information to address product and service inquiries effectively.
- Organise workflow to meet service level agreements and deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve customer issues and concerns.
- Manage customer accounts, including allocation and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Promote the company’s mission, aims, and ethos proactively.
- Participate in marketing plans and activities as required.
- Assist with other related tasks as assigned by your Manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong numeracy skills for handling billing and financial information
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field preferred
- Training will be provided for the customer service role within the heat billing department.
