Trainee Energy Manager (REMOTE)
We are looking for a remote Trainee Energy Manager to join our Energy Procurement team.Â
 Please note his is a REMOTE position.
About the Role:
The basic role is to review existing costs incurred through the use of gas and electricity for Landlord supplies on behalf of managing agents, to include invoice auditing, energy cost and consumption analysis and comparing this to alternative supply arrangements. Making proposals to change existing contracts and then implementing the change. The selected candidate would be expected to liaise with clients and suppliers, acting as an interface and ensuring that any queries and tasks are dealt with in a timely manner.
This role requires good organisational, numeracy, customer service, presentation, interpersonal, time management and communication skills. As Energy Manager, you will be required to manage your own portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities, Overview and Expectations:
As an Energy Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Client Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for both new and existing clients, addressing their energy-related needs promptly and providing accurate information.
- Cost Analysis: Audit energy bills, analyze consumption data, and compare costs with alternative supply arrangements to recommend contract changes for optimal energy management.
- Proposal and Implementation: Propose and implement changes to energy contracts, ensuring alignment with clients’ objectives and cost-saving goals.
- Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, resolve invoicing queries, and ensure timely billing.
- Contract Management: Manage records and ensure contract renewals are completed on time.
- Client Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with clients and suppliers, always seeking to enhance service delivery and identify new business opportunities.
- Energy Efficiency: Continuously explore ways to reduce clients’ energy consumption and costs through energy conservation measures and utility budget optimization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams and other departments to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.
- New Business Development: Actively generate new clients and promote the company’s mission, ethos, and services.
- Company Participation: Contribute to marketing initiatives, product discussions, and company development activities.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is or has:
- Energy Experience: Previous experience in energy brokerage, commercial energy supply, or account management is advantageous.
- Organisational Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple clients and tasks efficiently.
- Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Numeracy and Analytical Skills: Ability to audit energy costs, analyze consumption, and propose cost-saving strategies.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proactive Mindset: Self-motivated and proactive, always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital tools and platforms to manage accounts, perform analyses, and communicate with clients.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
